About Us

Shield Space builds the autonomy layer for the future of Space Control.

Founded by defence technologists and orbital specialists, Shield Space brings together proven UAS autonomy, CubeSat mission heritage, and tactical software design to deliver truly independent capability on orbit. Our mission is simple: deliver machine-speed decisions where human-in-the-loop control can't reach to deliver soverign orbital advantage.

Graeme Ritchie

Graeme Ritchie – Co-Founder & CEO
Graeme is a systems-focused defence technologist and founder of Shield UAS Solutions. With a background in contested-domain autonomy and delivery to UK MOD, he leads programme execution and strategic partnerships. At Shield Space, he drives operational alignment between autonomy, platform, and end-user mission need.

Daniel Molland

Daniel Molland – Co-Founder & CTO
Daniel is a CubeSat and launch integration specialist with direct payload heritage on CRS-20, CRS-26, and NG-18. He has advised UK Space Command on Space Control capability development and led AI-enabled platform development for the British Army. At Shield Space, he leads platform integration, payload coordination, and technical delivery across the autonomy system and bridges Orbital capabilities with real-world Defence requirements.

Tom Andrews

Tom Andrews – Co-Founder & Chief AI Architect
Tom is the original architect of Venom, a battlefield-ready autonomy system for UAS platforms. At Shield Space, he leads AI development for Orbital Eyes, applying real-time inference, sensor fusion, and edge-deployed decision logic to orbital challenges.

Professor Jon Wade
